Regand Park, Dubbo

Dubbo City Council

Moir Landscape Architecture were commissioned by Dubbo City Council to provide a master plan for a city scale park adjacent to the Macquarie River. The master plan was developed in response to the unique environmental conditions of the site in conjunction with information received during extensive community and stakeholder consultation.

The proposal aimed to strike a balance between functional, attractive and inviting open space whilst incorporating the natural heritage of the site. The design provided ample play and recreation space with expansive areas of retained and enhanced habitat. Proposed recreational opportunities included cycle ways including a velodrome, walking tracks, playgrounds, swimming including an artificial lake and beach, fishing, dog walking and bird watching.
