COMPLETION

2012

Moir Landscape Architecture were engaged by Wind Prospect CWP to undertake a specialist Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment to be incorporated into the Environmental Assessment Report for the proposed Crudine Ridge Wind Farm between Mudgee and Bathurst, NSW.

The proposal consisted of a total of up to 106 wind turbines covering an area of approximately 5,700 hectares in size. Due to the high cultural significance of the area and the large scale of the proposal, extensive landscape character assessment was undertaken. Practical and feasible mitigation methods were recommended to ensure the best possible outcome for both the client and the community.

The wind farm was approved in 2018.
