Moir Landscape Architecture were engaged by the recently formed Central Coast Council to prepare a comprehensive signage strategy and technical manual that reflected the values of the Central Coast and its community, provided consistency throughout the LGA and welcomed visitors to a region that is renowned for its natural beauty.

The signage suites covered LGA and suburb gateways, wayfinding and directional signage, Council and community facility signage and street name signage and was developed to communicate a strong identity for the LGA, and its local parks and attractions.

The materials chosen reflect the natural character and coastal ambience of the Central Coast whilst also considering longevity, adaptability, digital integration, production economies, ease of installation and maintenance.

The project involved an extensive consultation programme with internal stakeholders to ensure all specific signage requirements for each department were considered and addressed.
