Potter’s Lane is located in Raymond Terrace and is a 23-hectare residential estate comprising of 230 lots in varying sizes.
Moir Landscape Architecture were involved in the street tree master plan and design development of the estate entry feature.
The street tree master plan identified species to be planted in each street to reflect the proposed road hierarchy and assists in establishing unique themes for individual precincts within the development to assist in navigation.
A key feature of the estate is the entrance which creates a strong sense of arrival and establishes the landscape theme of the development. A long timber slatted wall with inserted Corten boxes embraces the boundaries of the estate on Rees James Road. The entry point has potted plants on either side of the road drawing reference to the historical use of the site as it was home to early settler James King who was renowned for the beautiful pottery that he produced.
