AS A DESIGN PRACTICE IT IS IN OUR DNA TO HELP

Established in 2001, we are a professional design practice based in Newcastle NSW. Working from our studio in Islington, our process involves a combination of ongoing research, expert discussion and contemporary design to solve problems and provide innovative solutions. Being a mid-sized, privately-owned firm, we offer a high level of service where you engage directly with our senior landscape architects. We have rigorous processes and procedures in place to ensure quality, compliance and a commitment to environmental sustainability.

We love what we do! We are personally invested in every project we undertake and enjoy engaging with our clients and communities and their unique characteristics, values and expectations. Through our experience and expertise, we seek opportunities to solve problems and achieve positive outcomes.

Our community is important to us and we continue to be involved in pro-bono work for local schools and community groups. We also provide support to a range of selected charities and events benefiting our local community, and are proud to be participating in the crowd funding of the 2020 Womens Pro Surfest at Merewether Beach.

Our profession is important to us and we are committed to the ongoing development and education of our team and future Landscape Architects. We have a strong internship program and sponsor the annual UoN Masters of Architecture Graduate Exhibition. We regularly organise events and seminars for other regional practices and our Studio Manager is behind a professional networking initiative for Office Managers in Newcastle.

WE COLLABORATE

We appreciate the value of drawing upon the skills of others to inform the analysis and design development process. Over the years we have built strong working relationships with like-minded engineers, architects, town planners, environmental consultants, and artists. We believe that the most wholistic and successful outcomes are achieved through collaboration and drawing on the specialist expertise of teams.

WE CONSULT

We work to develop, manage, and strengthen relationships with stakeholders, authorities, communities, special interest groups, and residents connected to sites and projects. We have extensive experience in consultation, mediation and negotiation. By viewing consultation as an integral part of planning and design, we deliver tailored solutions that respond to community and stakeholder needs and reflect their desired outcomes.

WE COMMUNICATE

We understand that ideas are only half of it. Without clear, honest communication, even the best initiatives can get lost. We maintain regular contact at all stages of a project and tailor programs with a mix of on-site, virtual meetings and regular reporting using online collaboration tools. We keep our clients informed of progress and of any issues or new directions that inevitably arise during the design process. We also deliver high-quality project documentation and visuals.
