AMITY YORE

PROJECT LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

Amity graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor in Landscape Architecture (1st class Honours) and joined Moir Landscape Architecture in 2020. Prior to pursuing landscape architecture as a profession, Amity undertook a three-year horticulture apprenticeship through the Royal Botanic Gardens, achieving a Certificate III in Parks and Garden Horticulture. This passion for horticulture and sustainability has led her to undergo numerous courses in agricultural remediation and sustainable farming practices.

Amity also holds a Bachelor in fine arts and combined with her hands-on horticultural knowledge sees her involved at the conceptual design stage, all the way through to detailed design. Her previous experience in the field has given her a comprehensive understanding of buildability and issues surrounding maintenance and longevity, which is an invaluable asset in delivering best practice outcomes for her clients.

Amity’s pragmatic and sensitive approach ensures her designs are thought-out, and consider a broad spectrum of external inputs and pressures. Within our office, Amity is a champion for innovation and sustainability, and regularly runs hands-on workshops at our Centre of Excellence.
